37 Vinette Steel Hull Trawler in Palatka, FL

1979 T.D. Vinette steel hull, ocean going trawler.
37 on deck, 41 LOA, draft 4 ft.
Located on fresh water, Great Lakes until 2012, then St. Johns River, Fl (fresh water).
I sandblasted hull to bare metal when I bought it, applied 5 barrier coats of epoxy, then multiple coats of color.
Engine Room:
120hp Westerbeke diesel engine,Onan 4.0 kw diesel generator, 400 gallons fuel in saddle tanks, 150 gallons fresh water in stainless steel tanks. 5 ft headroom in engine room, everything, including rudder easily accessible for maintenance.
Cruise at 1400 rpm,@ 1.3 gph for 6.8kts. 1800 nm range.
All new marine grade wiring for 120volt and 12 volt systems, new isolation transformer, new galvanic isolator,dual Racor filters complete tools and spare parts. Bilges bone dry.
Cabin and Bridge:
2 cabins, 4 berths, 2 heads, 1 shower. Galley has refrigerator, stove with oven, 2 A/Cs, propane fireplace/heater. Water tight doors in main cabin.
Navigation gear:
New Garmin GPS/fathometer, autopilot, rudder angle indicator, compass, new 24 volt SideShift Thruster.
Deck: 200 ft. BB chain on approx 250# navy anchor, manual windlass, 200ft 3/4 inch nylon line on 70# Bruce anchor.Anchor wash down pump, isolated chain locker.
Stainless steel dinghy davits, dive platform with ladder.
This boat was built by small yard in Michigan in business since 1948, specializing in commercial work boats, tugs and a few trawlers. Not fancy but very strong, comfortable, seaworthy vessel.
Easy to maintain, paint with a roller. Unlike 36 year old fiberglass, steel, if not rusted, is as good as when it was new and easily repaired.
